Authors who publish their manuscripts through Communica: Journal of Islamic Media and Communication agree to the following terms:

• Authors retain copyright and grant the journal the right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0), which permits others to share and adapt the work with proper acknowledgment of the work’s authorship and initial publication in this journal.

• Authors are allowed to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal’s published version of the work (for example, posting it to an institutional repository or publishing it in a book), with proper acknowledgment of its initial publication in this journal.

• Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online (for example, in institutional repositories or on their personal websites) before and during the submission process, as this can lead to productive exchanges as well as earlier and greater citation of the published work.
