Abstract

The development of digital technology and socio-cultural changes have created new challenges for da’wah activities, especially among Generation Z. This study aims to analyze the religiosity of Generation Z in Pawidean Village, Jatibarang District, Indramayu Regency, and to explore effective da’wah strategies for them. The research employs a qualitative approach using field study methods such as interviews, observations, and documentation.

The findings show that Generation Z in Pawidean Village demonstrates a fairly good level of religiosity but is vulnerable to the influences of social media, popular culture, and a lack of interest in conventional da’wah methods. Therefore, relevant da’wah strategies include the use of digital media platforms (such as Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube), creative community-based approaches, and participatory da’wah models that align with the interests of young people.

This study emphasizes the importance of contextual da’wah innovation to build a strong yet contemporary understanding of Islam that remains relevant to the dynamics of the modern era.
